Shelby White Great questions, writer's block is never easy to deal with. We've all been there. Sometimes it lasts a short time, sometimes it lasts longer then you wish it did.

If I am writing a novel and I come across a section where I'm not sure where the story needs to go sometimes I will take a step back and try to see if something comes to me. Get up and away from the computer and try to think about other scenarios while I'm busy doing other things. If that doesn't work then I will sit back down and decide on a potential idea for the block I have and continue on in writing. You can always go back and change it later if you read back through and decide you don't like it.

The best advice I can give anyone with writer's block is not to quit writing whatever your latesly WIP is. If you can't find what it is you're trying to write or you're just stuck, try and write through it. It is a first draft for a reason, it can always be fixed or changed later once you read through it again when finished and have a better feel for the characters and storyline.
Shelby White I think the best thing about being a writer is seeing the stories you create come to life before your eyes. Watching cover art be incorporated into them and seeing that final copy in hand for everyone to enjoy- it's really a rewarding and exciting experience. Then after all is said and done, talking to your readers and hearing what they thought and what they felt about their interpretation of the book is always fun.
Shelby White Never give up! Being a writer is an amazing thing to aspire to be. It can sometimes take practice, and a lot of hard work, but if you truly love to write and have a passion for it, keep writing. Always chase that dream and make it a reality.
Shelby White I just finished, book 2 of the Paranormal Adventure Series titled the Highland Curse which is out on Amazon and Barnes & Noble on December 9th! Be on the look out to what happened to Alycia and her 3 best friends as the continuation of book 1, The Ouija Board.

Now I am currently working on another WIP which I hope to release in the Spring of 2017.
Shelby White Inspiration comes in many different shapes and sizes. Many times I find it in simple things in life. Finding a theme that comes into play I think is interesting and realize there's a great story that's not being told. Maybe it's just a simple conversation with friends and family that I might realize I have an amazing idea I want to put to put on paper. If I sit down with a paper and pen I love to see what will come out. You're first draft doesn't have to be perfect, it just has to be written!
Shelby White I was actually on a 4 hour plane flight home from vacation and had a lot of time to think when the idea of a Ouija board came to me and what might happen if a group of girls began playing with them. I began writing and it quickly grew into a great book idea.
