Karif Battle I re-read my work in progress out loud. That works every time.
Karif Battle Dancing with the muse. Sitting down with a simple idea and watching an entire other world open up as I type. The original rough draft of I Let My Brother KILL My Mother totaled 20K words. After one year of rewriting and following the muse, the book became 214K words. I was forced to break it up and make it into a series. There is something almost magical about sitting down to write and being fed by something bigger than me.
Karif Battle Just do it. I took 2 years off of a lucrative career to write. Time is short and I plan to leave nothing undone in this life.
