I'm working on the next books in the Feeling All My Feelings series. I'm planning on discussing emotions like anger, fear, sadness, anxiety, grief-- why they are an important part of our lives, and some practical ways to accept and get through them. But I also want to celebrate emotions like happiness, awe, gratitude, and even silliness. When we feel good, then we shouldn't just keep it to ourselves-- that's the best time to share our happiness with others by paying it forward and touching other people's lives.

I've loved reading and writing ever since I can remember. It has always been my dream to write a book, and I finally decided to go for it 2 years ago when my dad passed away. Losing him inspired me to seize the day, and it felt especially meaningful that I could dedicated my books to him and share a little bit about him to everyone.
Now I am inspired to write my next books because of the feedback I've received from readers like you. Just that thought that my books can touch the lives of kids and adults alike pushes me to keep moving forward, so thank you!

My son who has been struggling with big feelings ever since he was a toddler. I found a book that was able to help calm him down, but it only worked for a short while. I had to keep trying new things and keep reading parenting books to get new ideas. I finally decided to write this book to help him understand and deal with his emotions.
He loves it so much, especially because he helped me think of the situations and animals to use in the book. The characters are based on his cousins and grandparents, and he is Kyle the monkey, of course! We also included his favorite stuffed monkey named Shmee.
He was 3 years old when we wrote the book. He's now 5 and a half, and I think we've finally gotten over the major tantrums. He's matured a lot with age, but I really feel that our many long talks about his feelings and things he can do about it really helped. Some of these are discussed in the book, but not in detail, so it's really meant to just open up opportunities for parents to discuss complicated feelings and situations with their kids.
We still read the book regularly, and it helps him calm down when he gets upset. He now feels more in control of his feelings, and doesn't let things escalate too much. Crossing my fingers that this calmness is here to stay!
