Write, write, write. The more you do it, the easier it will be for your mind to flip on the creative switch when you need to work. Rough drafts are supposed to be messy! It's okay to make mistakes and have errors. Pick a subject that makes you excited—you're going to have to read it a zillion times, so it needs to be a premise you enjoy. And lastly, if it ever feels like you or your characters are stuck, go back and change something. I find that forcing them to do what I want for plot purposes can stop my story in its tracks.
I hope that was helpful! Good luck writing!

I'm so glad you're enjoying the series! While the duology of the Bellmond sisters' stories is complete, there are still more side characters I'd love write about next. So, yes! I'm not ready to leave Hanalla yet! 😊

Writing in 1st POV helps a lot with that because the reader already feels like they are in the character's shoes. I also use description throughout, not just what they are seeing, but what they are feeling. Use all those 5 senses to help the reader paint the scene in their head. I hope that helps!

I will! I didn't realize how much readers wanted Reese's story too! Now that I'm back from my book convention, I'll be posting a release date soon.

Yes, I am! You may notice some light themes throughout my fantasy series. I also have a Christian version of my book club questions available on my website, should you need it. My contemporary books have even more noticeable themes since they're set in the modern day. ☺️

I wrote A Forest of Stolen Memories, a YA fantasy, with my niece in mind. I wanted something that my sister and her daughter could read together. Most people would associate clean with boring--and that isn't the case at all. To me, I consider it a challenge. I write clean and yet still have to compete with other authors who don't. So, my story relies on having a solid foundation that will hook readers without all the physical stuff. Is there still romance? Absolutely, yes! There is still enough sizzle that will heat up the page and leave you wanting more. But I don't need to add the other stuff to make my story more enjoyable---it stands on its own. That means no cursing and only kisses, not just in this book, but in all my books.
