Dr. Watson It's the chance of travelling to completely different times and places (sometimes completely imaginary ones), without even moving, doing it all safely within our minds. And yeah, escaping this cruel world.
Dr. Watson My new WiP is entirely based on the Sardinian folklore of Carnival and Dionysian rites. I got inspired by reading a book about the Sartiglia of Oristano and the idea just stroke me out of the blue. It was a theme that I wanted to explore. Spring, water, death, rebirth... A little thing.
Dr. Watson Hello. Thank you for your interest in my book, which remains though a historical fiction book and not meant to be seen as an actual essay on the History of medieval Sardinia. There are many texts written by local historians, but unfortunately I think they've never been translated and most academic papers are also written in Italian. The only book written in English that I can think of is A Companion to Sardinian History, 500–1500, which covers a somewhat larger period and not strictly the history of Eleonora d'Arborea.
Dr. Watson I've just finished the first draft of my newest work, a gothic historical book set in Sardinia, with a dual timeline involving some important and murderous events that took place in Cagliari, in 1668, and a ghost story set in Cuglieri, around 1830.
