I shared my rough draft with a friend/colleague I had not seen or spoken to in more than 15 years - but I knew he'd give me real feedback. Not only did he give me very beneficial feedback, but he truly motivated me and gave me the confidence boost I needed to move forward and ultimately publish my book! Basically, find someone to hold you accountable to do the right thing - and publish your book!

Just start writing... For me, it was taking time to write meaningful/inspirational events that happened in my life and career and putting them into evernote (an app I chose to use that crosses many platforms) After a while, I had enough material to compile it all together into a word document and then began the tedious task of formatting it into a book. Don't stress about making it look or feel like a book - just start writing.
