Gerry Visca Thank you Angela for this question - it means a great deal to me. I often say that writing transformational novels is an inspired way of being. I needed to express what was in my soul. The Life I Didn't Notice was the result of listening to thousands of women during #whytime - a one on one conversation with their soul. The common theme that continually showed up was: "I want to notice and feel my one precious life - the ONE I'm meant to live."
Gerry Visca As a write, I get inspired by movies, films, reading other great writers. It's about listening to your soul, acting on the inspired actions that really light you up. When things get challenging, I challenge the discomfort into writing - BLOGS, supporting other writers or international speaking on stage. Everything is connected. Everything is one.
Gerry Visca A reader MO HAGAN recently called me "The Dr. Seuss of the modern age... oh the places Gerry Visca will take us." For me, I love creating powerful and transformative stories of REAL people facing REAL challenges. In 'The Life I Didn't Notice Series' I was inspired by a friend who suffered a near-death experience and I wanted to weave in real feelings and emotions that showed up for her. Writing for me is an inspired way of being. I love all of the many phases from conceiving the idea, writing in Tuscany, the onerous task of editing and personally sketching my own illustrations to overseeing the book publishing process.
Gerry Visca I share a course called: "The BIGGER Story" so you can see some of my detailed advice on my website at gerryvisca.com
My top tips are: Go deeper, really connect with your soul. Create the time. To be a serious writer you have to seriously write. This includes creating the time and really devoting yourself to your craft.
Gerry Visca I just finished adapting the 2 books from 'The Life I Didn't Notice' series into a 4-part movie series screenplay. This is really exciting as I have been working with film consultants, creating all the storyboards and getting this book series to the film industry.
Gerry Visca I read about 4 novels a month ranging from various genres and I retreat to the hills of Tuscany to listen to my soul and write my transformational novels.
Gerry Visca It came to me after thousands of #whytime sessions - one on one conversations with women (a few men) and their soul. I realized the themes that were showing up were:
I can't notice my life!
I am struggling with the pursuit of more.
I want to remember who I am and my purpose in life.
