I don't know that I've not been inspired to write. I think most writers write because we have to. That story is inside you, and you've got to get it out. Heck, I like being in my fictional world with Matthew Redd more than the real world sometimes!

Get up. Take a walk. Get my mind off of the story at hand, and let it come to me on its own. Sounds crazy, I know, but it works for me. Usually, if I am really stuck, I'll go hangout with kids or friends, anyone who likes to laugh. They say laughter is the best medicine, and I think it's pretty helpful for beating writer's block too!

Talking to other authors and readers. I'm a fan and student of the genre, first and foremost, so connecting with other people who love thrillers the way I do is, hands down, by far, my favorite part of being an author.

Hmm. Tough one! But I think I would want to visit Westeros. I'm a big House Stark fan and would love to visit the King of the North!

DROWNING by T.J. Neman, ONLY THE DEAD by Jack Carr, DEAD FALL by Brad Thor, and THE COLLECTOR by Daniel Silva, just to name a few!

Currently, I am writing the third Matthew Redd book. Not ready to reveal the title just yet, but I can say that the final three words of book two (LETHAL RANGE) make up the title of the third book.

It is! I think I first pop up in VICIOUS CIRCLE. I had no idea that was going to happen. C.J. Box (along with Vince Flynn) is my favorite author, so it was quite a surprise. I'm so honored, though. And, I'd be lying if I said that I wasn't hoping that I might one day be promoted to Sherif LOL. Thanks for asking!

It certainly has. For one thing, I created The Real Book Spy because I have such a passion and love for thrillers. My goal was to connect with other readers and fans of the genre. But over the years, yeah, I always wanted to write. And I think, when I was ready, I had a good sense of understanding what readers want from these books. I had a story to share, with a character I love, but man, I am so anxious to hear what people think! Thanks for the question, man!
