Robert A. Avila Inspiration comes from dreams, prayers, and the works of Christian brethren.

I wrote my first Christian book, “How to Stop Having Nightmares” after I read a book written by a new ager. All the advice it provided would have made anyone’s situation worse.
So I wrote a wise version with good advice.
Robert A. Avila My writing folders contain enough chapters for at least 3 more books in the 100 Ways series. And I have a list of ways God speaks to us, with notes to find testimonies of when God used that method to educate and lead me.
I’m working on “The Truth—If You Can Bear It.” It exposes the truth of world events. It targets word-only Christians and atheists. If you can see the devil and his people working, the world transforms in your sight to what it really is: a war between agents that want to deceive men into Hell, and those of us working to lead them instead to God.
Robert A. Avila Work hard, learn your craft, and you will not stand before and serve vile men. Instead, you will serve kings.
Robert A. Avila I am a Christian writer. So this answer differs from the usual. Most of my books, Holy Spirit told me to write. This includes the entire 100 Ways series and the first 4 of the fiction books. He showed me the visions and said, “Write this into a book.” A kind of peace, strength, and deep satisfaction result from obeying God.
It feel rewarding also to find new, 5-star reviews, to know that someone enjoyed reading the stories. Moreso, when people write reviews and share what they received from reading.
Robert A. Avila When your keyboard is in first gear and hit a writing speed bump, just write anything. Push aside judgment and just write. Once words dance across the lines in drunken stupor, they sober up and groove into the usual fartlek run of big sprints and relaxed jogs.
Avoid researching. Just write in year xxxx. In the edit, do a search for “xxxx” and replace them all.
Robert A. Avila The inspiration for my most recent book, guardians of time, is a number of dreams I’ve received in the last few years. The dreams show how assassins from the future time travel to the past and kill Christians before they begin their ministry.
