Not putting pressure on myself. Taking a step away from the story to get some perspective. If I need to step away from it for a few days/weeks, i allow myself to do that. Do other things that bring me joy and fill me up.

Like Nike said, "just do it". I have always loved story telling and what really held me back at first was constantly thinking I either wouldn't be good enough or I'd never be able to actually write a whole book. Then one day I had an idea and I just decided to start writing. Taking that initial first step was the biggest hurdle.

Currently I am finishing up the editing for the second book in the Lawlor Properties Duet. And I just started writing the first book in my next series about three best friends (each friend will have their own book). I am exploring some darker themes for this first one, still with a HEA ending, and am excited to see how it plays out.

I start brainstorming some ideas: Characters, occupations, plot lines, important supporting players in their lives. And then at one point it all starts to click and fall into place, and I feel as though I can't keep it inside anymore. I have to get it on the page. When I'm really inspired, I can't stop writing. I love that feeling of having a story just pour out of me!

If I could travel to any fictional book world it would be any of TL Swan's. Take me to Australia with the Stanton/Marx crew, or London with the sexy Misters, Italy with Mr. Ferrara or even New York/London/Paris with the Miles men. Hand me a margarita and send me on my way!
