I'm sorry to be getting back to you so late! I can't tell you how much I appreciate your praise. It really means the world to me! I believe you left a wonderful review for me but you found the abusive sex difficult to read. I understand completely and I worried about this aspect of the book, I have two adult daughters who are avid readers and I did check with them, as well as with a few other people, and was assured the sex was tolerable and understandable under the circumstances. Still, I understand why it would be difficult to read for some. It's good for me to hear how other people are affected by what I write and I'll certainly keep your words in mind whenever I write in the future. And yes, I'm working on a third volume, which will be part prequel and part sequel. It'll be a couple of years, I think before it's ready but I might surprise myself and get it done much faster. I do hope to get various chapters printed as short stories in sci-fi publications. THANK YOU again for the kind words!

Thank you for thinking of me! I do get compensated by Amazon for Kindle Unlimited. I'm glad you're interested in my books. The best thing you could do, besides reading the book of course, is to leave an honest review on Amazon and/or Goodreads. And if you think others would like the story, spread the word. Thank you so much and I hope you enjoy reading my story.

I'm still an aspiring writer myself, but after many years of wishing and dreaming of writing a book, I finally found a story that I loved, and I created characters that I cared about so much that I wanted to finish their story. Something very special happened. It was really as if the story found me, as if the characters found me and pushed me to write their story for them.

During my second year of college I went through a period of about 3-4 weeks when, during the night, I would find myself in a kind of paralyzing trance. I felt wide awake but couldn't move, couldn't speak, and I had an overwhelming sense of terror, as if I was being threatened by an invisible presence. Sometimes this would happen as I was falling asleep, other times I'd wake in the middle of the night. It didn't happen every night, but it happened often enough and was so frightening it made me afraid to go to sleep. I suppose it could have been bad dreams, but I really felt wide awake. The incidents stopped abruptly. I've sometimes wondered if I was being visited by aliens and they were collecting my DNA!

From reading a classic sci-fi novel, The Time Machine by HG Wells, and noticing there is a mysterious character named only once. Who is he? I answered that question.

When I'm really stuck, which doesn't happen often, I figure my story needs to take a different path so I stop the action and jump to something else. If the story isn't flowing, I don't like to force it.
