I think I answered this comment from you before, but I must have done is somewhere else,because I can't find it. If I didn't answer your question, I do have another book which covers the time when I brought Charity's family to America. That is also published by Authorhouse www.LesterFisher.com. I wrote a 3rd book but I need to revise it, and I am waiting to see if the first two books will gain an audience. I hope your books are doing well in this very competitive market. Lester Fisher

A Russian friend, who is a professor at Univ of Maine, suggest my mind dump relied too heavily on Wikipedia. Most of those quotes are in the endnotes, so not mandatory reading. I was just trying to give context the time and place. On thing is for sure, our upbringings were quite different!

I have already published 2 books with Authorhouse, but I was trying to get Peace Corps Writers world wide to publish the book, because the give it a Peace Corrps Word Wife imprimatur. Have not heard back from them.

There is a sufficiently large amount of drama, terror and weirdness in real life. In my 75th year, I don't need to pursue it into a fictional world. Besides the best fiction strongly reflects the real world.

The best thing about writing my memoirs was that it gave me a chance to catch up with friends and people I had not seen in years. Sadly I was too late to reach a couple of high school classmates who died of cancer, as I later found out. One of my coworkers came to Hawaii to visit us in 2015, but between then an 2021 he died of ALS, also unbeknownst to me. At my age, you start to become acutely aware that life is tenuous.

I started writing when I retired on disability You probably know that saying: If you can't do, teach. If you can't teach, write. I have actually done all three, and I wanted my family to know what a crazy and varied life I have lived. All three of my books are part of my memoir.

There is a third book in the series of my memoir. It has been written, but issues have arisen and changes are needed. I am thinking of going with Peace Corps Writers of Peace Corps Worldwide for the publication of my third book.

Regarding writer's block, I think that when I am inspired nothing can stop me from writing...it is kind of a compulsion. But if I am not inspired, I don't find anything that can move me forward. It may be biological... your mind sort of knows when it is not going to be able to do it's best. So I just occupy my time with something else. Eventually, the urge to write comes back, and that is the best time to go with the flow!
