J.R. Froemling This is tough. I would likely travel to the Dasaharu Empire in my Slaves of Prophecy story, specifically the city of Artisans. I would learn how to craft something, and spend my nights enjoying the company of fellow artisans.
J.R. Froemling The world decided no more books. So they burned them all.
J.R. Froemling "And then he/she kissed him/her..." I open a new file (one I won't keep) and just write a whole scene out base on one character kissing the other out of the blue. I had this happen with a grizzly old biker and the upstart biker he was dealing with. Pretty hilarious brawl ensued with a lot of really disgusting and degrading comments. (which were right for the characters, but not my POV) It got me past the "THIS IS SERIOUS BUSINESS" block.
J.R. Froemling I create something I love and get to share with the universe.
J.R. Froemling Get out of your head and write. Just do it. It doesn't matter if it is good, or bad. No writing is worse than any writing. Besides, what you think is hogwash, other people think is gold. Be brave and go forth!
J.R. Froemling Hah. SO MANY THINGS. I am working on The Devil's Hope (book two for Mistress Giselle), The Naughty List, My Viking Alpha, Night Rangers, Poltergeist Girl, My Druid Witch, The Accord, A Man Named Wolfe, A Wolfe Is Born, The Biker Queen. I even have a Western bubbling in my head, but I haven't decided much other than Western.
J.R. Froemling Everything inspires me. Funny conversations, dramatic moments in my life (Don't Look At Your Watch in The Triple Six), movies, shows, music. Especially, music. It moves me, or sings to me. I have playlists for just about all of my characters!
J.R. Froemling My Viking Alpha started with a middle-of-the-night snark fest about all the werewolf romance tropes. So I added Vikings, time travel, and witches. Then we got a real plot. So much for making it a satire!
