Cyndi Burrough Winding your way through a child's trauma is a horror story that opens like a package of mystery. What does a child think and do with the experiences that they go through?
Cyndi Burrough I look for books that are enlightening and that educate me about mental illnesses and how to understand the solutions that may be offered in order to find healing. I am currently reading, "I Hate You, Don't Leave Me" which deals with borderline personality disorder.
Cyndi Burrough Actually Recognizing Beauty is a mystery in it's own right. Winding your way through a child's mind is difficult for a reader to put together but it works. This book is after all a child's diary.
The idea for Recognizing Beauty came from my own insights that I found while going through therapy. My question to myself was, "How do I pass on what I've learned in a positive way?" The answer clearly was that I needed to share that one can come out the other side of abuse as a fairly well balanced individual. That being said 'gratitude' freed up the hurt I felt and gave it a positive spin.
