How do you deal with writer’s block?
Kate Stollenwerck I haven't dealt with it on a large scale. But normally if I'm struggling with inspiration, I go for a long walk and listen to music. That's usually all it takes to get my creative juices flowing.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Kate Stollenwerck I was very close to my paternal grandmother, and I've always wanted to write a story about the unconditional love and special bond of the grandparent/grandchild relationship.

What are you currently working on?
Kate Stollenwerck I'm working on a sequel to Hello, Goodbye! I've also outlined another contemporary YA.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Kate Stollenwerck Keep writing! The more you write, the better you get at it. And read, read, read! Read as much as you can! Like everything in life, it takes work.
