Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Micki Abels My intention to write a teaching memoir was to help others who may be struggling with a similar life event. I wanted to offer a relatable connection by sharing my wisdom and the practices that inspired me to heal.

Micki Abels By being the observer in my life and paying attention to the beautiful simplicity it offers.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Micki Abels Just write! Get your fingers on the keyboard or your pen to paper and just write. The outline and the format will come later and it will, most likely, change many times over anyway. Your editing is never done, you will always find errors or a better way to write something each time you return to your manuscript. Be gentle with yourself and know that your story is important, unique, and needs to be told.
