I wake up in the morning (and sometimes it's 3 AM!) with ideas that need to get into words.
I have very vivid dreams and sometimes they become stories.
My best writing time is 6 AM when the house is quiet until 8 or 9 when real life intrudes.

Beyond the Broken Window has been forming in my mind for many years. Some of the incidents are taken from my own life, some from people I know and some are entirely fiction.
Growing up in the 60s and 70s was so different than the generation before us. Recreational drug use, the pill, women's lib, Black Power, Vietnam were all new realities and part of our lives. It was an interesting time in America.
I also wanted to focus on the reality of domestic abuse. It is a complicated issue and one that those on the outside do not understand.
