As a pantser, I plan very little, if anything. I'll daydream up some key scenes that form the basis of the plot, write those out, then start linking them together. When I start doing that, so often it feels like my own characters take the story away from me. I feel like we write it together and that is just such an incredible feeling to have them come to life like that.

Don't look to publishers or agents to validate what you write. Be the best writer version of yourself, and do whatever you have to see your work get out there. Don't stop querying, self-publish if you want or need to. Don't let anyone stop you from telling the stories YOU want to tell.

While I'm not the only author to write sibling romance, I kind of feel like I'm the only one writing happy endings to them, and without showing the couple as somehow mentally unstable as the cause of their feelings. I wanted to show the world something different.

All my books come from the notion of "sibling love." Most people don't know that sibling incest is legal in many parts of the world, even in some States! I think these relationships are valid, and deserve to have stories about them.
