Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Stacy Peterson I was curious how a woman would make it alone in the Wild West, if she was stranded. Who might help her, how she would be drawn to them, and how they would change each other. And I love the human need for belonging and unconditional love on a deep level that we all feel and crave.

How do you get inspired to write?

Stacy Peterson Everything inspires me. People I see on the street, nature, tv shows, books, art. I love observing life with the eye of a writer.

What are you currently working on?

Stacy Peterson A sequel to The Lovely and Dangerous Launch of Lucy Cavanagh, and a memoire for my daughter, of her being born in France

What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Stacy Peterson Being transported into other worlds, places, eras. And having characters around me all the time.

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Stacy Peterson I don't really believe in the idea of writer's block. I believe in showing up to write when I have blocked time out to write, regardless of how I feel.
