I've learned to give myself grace. Writer's block to me is just a time when the clarity of mind and creativity aren't in alignment. Be kind to yourself and don't beat yourself up. I've learned that writing, publishing and marketing a book are a journey, not a race! Be present in each step and enjoy the entire process. The words that you are meant to write will come!

I'm an early riser and find my mornings as my most creative. When I'm not in front of my computer however, I constantly take notes in my phone when an idea or thought pops into my head! My life experience is my biggest inspiration.

Over the pandemic, I had an opportunity to take some quality "still time" for myself. When I quieted my mind, I started tapping into some suppressed emotions that I had buried. They were associated with some of the more difficult times in my life. I started writing poetry and short vignettes about these traumatic times. The words started flowing almost faster than I could write. It was so cathartic and healing that I knew I had to use it as a platform to help others.
