Elisabeth Reilley At this point in time I'm working on a collection of short horror stories as well as building 2 separate series that will be coming before we know it!
Elisabeth Reilley Your passion is your profession.
Elisabeth Reilley I call it "caveman" writing. If I have goals for the story but I struggle to get words on a page, I just fill the space with a memo of what I want to have happen. If that means writing, "in this scene, she falls from a cliff and some stuff happens and she gets to shore", then so be it. It's so much more important to get the ideas onto the page than to make the unpublished document look pretty.
Elisabeth Reilley I'm the type of writer who has more ideas than time on her hands. I can be inspired by anything-an image, a word, whatever. The key is to do something with that inspiration! Take the concept and flesh it out a bit.
Elisabeth Reilley The idea for Shadow Work came to me as 2021 was coming to an end. The world had gone through so much, and so had I. I really wanted to punctuate the end of a tumultuous era with a moment of success by sharing philosophies that personally helped me heal a lifetime of trauma. The best way I knew how to do that was to write this book.
