My current work in progress is a Adult Science fiction! This story is based on a ship names The Aspire, heading toward a new solar system lightyears away. When the crew wakes up from hypersleep, however, nothing is as they expect. Life support is down, the Elemental Crew that was supposed to maintain the ship is missing, and there are cascading failures threatening the mission.
But of course, that's can't be all. :) When the crew finally discovers what happened to the Elemental Crew, they realize that it's not just the ship that's in danger, but their future home as well. Can they harness they time they have left?

Write. Write. Write. People will tell you that you are terrible. That's okay. Keep doing it. Continue to grow and learn, and you will develop. Then one day you will look back and be able to see how far you've come. When that day comes, you'll laugh at the crappy piece you were so up in arms about and determined to defend.

The best thing about being a writer is the ability to weave worlds, people, and emotions that feel real. I love when I get so pulled into one of my stories that everything around me disappears, and I become part of the story itself. If my characters surprise me, or a scene causes tears to pool in my eye, I know I've done something right. It's powerful.
