My inspiration for To Kill a Ghost came from a simple screenwriting exercise for creating compelling log-lines. You try to take something in the first part and create irony in the second part. For To Kill a Ghost I thought of, "When a Erik's grandfather is seemingly assassinated on his steps with no leads as to why, Erik must utilize a certain set of skills he didn't realize his grandfather had taught him to solve the case and save himself." The irony being that the grandfather had to subliminally teach his grandson the skills required to eventually solve his own murder.

I find inspiration in the world around me; a conversation with a stranger, a song, an absent minded thought. Inspiration is in everything if you let it be.

I'm currently working on the second installment in The Ghost Series. This time Erik finds himself in a foreign country when everything seems to go wrong.

My advice for aspiring writers is just get a whole story down. Focus on nothing else other than completion. Once you have a complete skeleton of the story you can go back in and add the muscles, and then the flesh, and then all the little distinguishing characteristics that make your story great. You'll go through multiple versions of your story, so don't get hung up on nailing it from the get go, because you wont.

For me, the best part of being a writer is just being able to explore the endless expanse of my own imagination. I love building back stories to all of my characters and breathing life into them. Nothing is impossible in the world of books.

Definitely the magical world of Harry Potter. I think the idea of magic is such a fun thing. My imagination has always run wild wondering what the limits of spell casting are.
