Victoria Michaels Elizabeth looked at Henry and smiled darkly, “You said you would do anything for me, right?”
As he nodded, she reached out and handed him a knife, “Good.”
Victoria Michaels For sure I would go to Narnia. When Lucy stepped through that wardrobe for the first time, I knew that was where I belonged.

I would visit all of the places the children went to and try to find out if Aslan had any lion family that I could visit. I would write down all their stories so I could keep them forever.
Victoria Michaels I am a little boring as I am reading a few self-help books, but I also have a few other romances on there.
Colleen Hoover - It Ends With Us
Gilly Graham - Love in Any Language
Fern Michaels - The Brightest Star
The Magic of Thinking Big - David J. Schwartz
Plus I downloaded Giovanni's Room by James Baldwin on Audible. I have no idea what it is about, but the very first opening line draws me right in, so I guess this is next on my TBR list.
Victoria Michaels Oooo, good question. My mother had a very interesting upbringing, and recently we have found out that a) there is some Native Canadian heritage in our background as well as b) a few unknown relatives showed up on our DNA 23&Me links, and lastly c) her own father claimed to be an orphan that came over from England, but a search for his birth certificate shows he was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. There are several more mysteries, but I don't want to give them away. I have been working on a historical fiction.
Victoria Michaels Just keep writing. Basically, if I don't feel like writing, I just keep writing. It can be about anything.

If I cannot get myself to put pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard), then I exercise like hell and think about my character - not in the context of the story - just what she or he might be doing during their day. I might go for a long run or bike ride, or just do some aerobics in my basement.

Then I sit down and write again. It may not be the story I was working on, but just writing anything gets you out of your head and back into the flow.
Victoria Michaels My favourite thing about writing is evoking emotion in the reader through my words.

It does not matter if it is happiness, sadness, terror or fear, anger, empathy, shock, offense, lust, love or elation. If I can get you to feel something, I have done my job!
Victoria Michaels Write, write, write, write, and then write some more.

Don't think too much about it. Start a story - if you need an outline make a few notes. But in general, if you know who your characters are, they are going to tell you what the story is about.

Whenever you get an idea - write it down!!! It may sit there for years, but then one day you will pick it up and just start writing.

Oh, and in case you missed it...write!
Victoria Michaels I am working on two more series that I am about to publish.

The Journal is about a woman's journey to discovering who she is through her mother's old journal which she stumbles across after her mom dies. It reveals a whole life that Amanda never knew her mother ever lived.

Till Death Do We Partner is a mystery that introduces Shari, a hard-ass blond bombshell with a take no shit attitude. Her husband is missing and the hot detective who is assigned to look into the case is very attracted to her.
Victoria Michaels As a very young child, I liked to read a lot. I was very sick when I was little and I liked to make up stories to pass the time, and my imagination would get away from me.

My grandmother gave me a writing book to put all my stories in one place as she told me I had a gift.

Later, my high school English teacher used to tell me to just write!
Victoria Michaels For Qualicum Bay Cove Sisterhood, I wanted to incorporate a mystery that has been happening off the coast of Vancouver, BC, for some time - disarticulated feet inside of shoes have been washing up on the shores for years and there is a mystery behind where they come from.

I love the BC Coast and I wanted to highlight it with strong female characters who lovingly support one another and will fight for their sister.
