Like so many people, I'd go to Hogwarts and just meander through the halls, breathe in the air, and say I to some of my favorite people that never lived.

I get to have conversations with imaginary people in my head. Also, I can watch the same tv shows and movies over and over and tell my husband that I'm "studying" plot, character, and dialogue.

I've been playing around with a middle-grade fantasy story. It's weird, but a lot of fun to write. If I ever publish it, most likely it will be under my real name.

It doesn't take much to get inspired. Just time to write it. Writing is just a hobby for me that takes a backseat to everything else in my life.

Actually, it came from a snide comment my son made during a family conversation. My daughter was complaining about getting her nose genes from her father and my other son was complaining about his future potential for going bald. The middle child asked if we bought him at the baby auction because his genes are perfect. The words baby auction stuck in my head. I thought about what would lead to a "baby auction?"
