Susan Mansbridge Firstly, don't compare yourself to other writers. You are unique. They may be successful, published and lauded, but your story is just as important.
Secondly, keep writing. Even if what you write never sees the light of day, it will release the ideas and thoughts. The next one could be something very special.
Finally, find your cheerleaders. Writing is a lonely task and you need people who will support and encourage you through the whole process. They don't have to be your beta readers. They may not even like your genre, but they will applaud your efforts and keep you motivated.
Susan Mansbridge My ideas generally come when I am doing something mundane, or in the middle of the night. I will get an image of something happening, which is the beginning of the book. I then think about how I want it to end. The hard work starts when I try to figure out how to get there!
Susan Mansbridge Allowing all those thoughts and dreams to ooze out onto paper and watch them take shape and come alive.
Susan Mansbridge I have several projects running at the moment. The first is editing Book Two in order to get that published later this year.
I am working on the next draft of "The Infilling", a standalone urban fantasy and I have started plotting the first book in a new series of what could be five books.
