This is a tough question. There are so many wonderful aspects of being a writer. I think my favorite though has to be creating a world and sharing it with others. Writing is a vulnerable endeavor. Oftentimes you are showing your innermost thoughts to strangers, but when people fall in love with your characters and your world, there is no better feeling.

Usually, I step outside for some fresh air or go get a warm tea or fancy coffee. More often than not, that gives me the break I need to continue.

Just go for it. Honestly. I am a painter by trade, but writing has always been my escape. Publishing a book was a lofty "future" dream for me until I just made it happen. There are so many resources out there to become a self-published author.

A majority of my inspiration comes from time spent in nature. I especially love Autumn, so I usually try and push myself to write most in the colder months.

Currently, I am working on The Moon and Her Sun's sequel: The Lying Dark.

The Moon and Her Sun was inspired by many things. The world itself, Domhaen, has been with me since I was child. It was my escape and my muse. The book actually began as a poem that morphed into a novel over a span of about five years.
