Tierney, I love your work! Will you be hosting any author events soon for your new release?

Tierney Moore Thanks, Rick! I don't plan on any author events (I'm incredibly shy and suffer from anxiety, you see), so I don't love live things. How do you get inspired to write?

Tierney Moore I’m not a literary writer. My stories aren’t likely to change the world, so I’m not on a mission or anything. I’m not driven, really; I just like writing and getting positive responses from clients (I’m a ghostwriter too) and readers :). Ideas just come… if you’re open to them. Like, wherever I am I wonder if this place or that building or this environment might be good to feature. Whoever I meet I find I’m looking to dig up character quirks—sorry, friends!—to use in characters.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Tierney Moore For the Christmas story I’ve recently outlined, it was from all the tropes in the Christmas TV movies I’ve been watching. You know, the heroine is always some kind of event planner! All handomse guys in hometowns wear plaid shirts. The meet-cute! And so on ;).

What are you currently working on?

Tierney Moore I’m (finally, after an awful 2022 personally) writing the third novella in my Seductive Escort Trilogy. It’ll be out in February. Oh, and I just outlined a comedy Christmas novel for the 2023 festive season!

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Tierney Moore Not sure I can offer too much. Ask me when my own books sell in the thousands! Then I’ll be more qualified. But I’ll say, just do it and see what you come up with and where it takes you. Oh, and find a good editor (I love mine)—the interaction helps you see what you don’t on your own.

What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Tierney Moore Oh, easy—the freedom! To be where I want when I want (well, mostly). And you get to express yourself through characters. That can help you work your shxt out—trust me! Plus, although I dissed social media above, I love the writing community :).

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Tierney Moore Go do something else! That disengages the limiting thought track. Talk it over with my partner, which makes me come at an issue from a different perspective cos I have to actailly explain it to someone.

If you could travel to any fictional book world, where would you go and what would you do there?

Tierney Moore An alternate Earth, where social media hasn’t been invented, reducing the opportunity for people to spew hate at one another. I know, an indie author needs social media… Let’s just stick to Goodreads :).
