Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Jessica Scachetti I had actually gotten the idea to write Wonder of Light after watching the movie I Am Not Ashamed on Pureflix. The movie is based on the Columbine school shootings that took place when I, myself, was in high school. Having watched the movie so many years after the event took place, had brought back a lot of emotions that I'd recalled feeling at that time, being a Christian girl in high school as well. It was the resurfacing of those emotions that had inspired me to write this Christian romance.

How do you get inspired to write?
Jessica Scachetti Relaxing. Praying. Getting feedback from my readers about their excitement to read my next book!

What are you currently working on?
Jessica Scachetti I'm wrapping up book two in the Wonder of Light series. It is currently under edits. I'm getting ready to start book 3.

I'm also working on a Mafia style Christian romance. I'm up to Chapter 8 and really excited about this one. I'm not sure if I'll be making a series out of it just yet.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Jessica Scachetti You're writing isn't going to please everyone. You cannot make everyone happy. Don't let negative feedback get you down. Learn from it. Grow from it. And if you're spiritual like me, pray about it.

What’s the best thing about being a writer?
Jessica Scachetti The excitement I feel when I'm on a roll. When I get emotional over my own writing, then I know that it's good.

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Jessica Scachetti I take a break. If I'm in a groove, I go as long as I can. If I get stumped or can't think straight, I take a breather. Relax my mind. Pray about it.
