Book three, Burn the Ship, will be out in November. Book four will complete the series and should be out just after the first of the year.

Navigating the Storm, Book Two of Pirates of New Earth has just gone to one of my editors. I am now getting the outline and storyline set for books three and four, which is important because there is one character that has been very impatient to make an appearance!

I like to go on beach walks or solitary walks or runs in quiet places. There's an old cemetery down the road from me and it is a lovely, peaceful place. I also like to go on walks and runs with my husband and talk about ideas. The back and forth helps them develop.

Kat Wallace came to me fully formed and with her story as I made the drive between my home and my workplace (an hour and a half commute!) I have always loved pirates and rollicking action stories with strong, complex characters and Kat's life certainly fit that description. Additionally, I have worked with women and birthing folk for many years and their strength certainly informed Kat's development.
