Growing up Roman-Catholic, I was bombarded with scripture. Living in Ireland, I was surrounded by its tradition and dogma. Once I left the country I began reading about other religions and came to the conclusion that religion is there to make us humans less afraid to die. And if you pray enough, you'll reserve your slot. The book was also born from reading about the history of Christianity and seeing how it is now run like a corporate company. I found that funny in my own, dark way and a story was born.

I'm working on my second novel now. I'm not sure what it is officially about yet, but there is a drifter with a history that can't cope with his past, and a manor house with a dark secret hidden beneath its grounds.

Write a bunch of shit for 6 pages and then rewrite it. Writer's block is you, the writer, writing yourself into a corner. Write the clunkiest version of your solution in those 6 pages. Read it. See that it's crap, and rewrite it.
