I daydream, read, watch movies and TV that inspire me, and create mood boards and art for my stories. In terms of getting the writing done, I schedule it and write in the same place every day, so my mind is trained to write in that time and place.

Daughters of Valhalla is a blend of so many things I love -- Vikings, medieval history, kickass female heroines, romance, stories about destiny, sisterhood (I have a little sister)... and much more. I didn't know the story at first, only that it would be about three Viking sisters with very different fates.
The idea kept tapping me on the shoulder, even when I was trying to write other things. One day, I woke up after having a dream about it and frantically wrote all the character ideas from the dream. I realized I needed to tell this story.
Since then, the story has grown as I've researched more about the Dark Ages and Viking history. It's incredibly fun incorporating all of my passions into this series!
