Sometimes, going for a walk, talking it out with a friend, or looking at my Pinterest boards helps. Sometimes I reread my writing. But usually the only thing that really helps is the most difficult: just do it! Even if it comes out poorly, at least you have words on the page to tweak later.

Edit, edit, edit. If you think you've edited enough, think again. I hired an editor AND read my book multiple times in multiple forms, and there were still errors post-print. Enough is never enough when it comes to editing.

Music and Pinterest! I have a playlist for my WIPs, as well as Pinterest inspo boards that I look through when I feel stumped. I also love talking it out with a friend if I'm feeling really stumped.

I have a friend who is visually impaired, so it made me think about what it would be like to experience life that way. I also am very into mental health awareness and family relationships, so that's how the rest of the plot developed.
