Meeting and talking to people helps solidify some of my ideas, and inspires me. I met a girl with the most beautiful pale copper hair right before starting Beleaguered Wings, and decided I wanted Evangeline to have hair that color.

it doesn't feel like work at all, even when the ideas are being stubborn about jumping into my brain.

Fortunately, that hasn't been much of an issue with the Wings of Destiny Series. However, I generally try to turn my mind off or in a different direction for at least a few hours. If I'm still stumped, I read over the last few chapters or even from the beginning. Most of those times I find that what I was writing doesn't flow with the rest of the story, and I need to change it.

I would go to the Harry Potter world in the magical areas and cast spells. I would visit Hogwarts and hang out in the library. I would definitely animate a statue ala Professor McGonagall before leaving.

I'll be looking to see if Ivy Asher has anything new coming out. Other than that, I tend to be impulsive, surfing available books when the urge strikes me and downloading what catches my attention.
