M. Susan Potter Meeting and talking to people helps solidify some of my ideas, and inspires me. I met a girl with the most beautiful pale copper hair right before starting Beleaguered Wings, and decided I wanted Evangeline to have hair that color.

M. Susan Potter it doesn't feel like work at all, even when the ideas are being stubborn about jumping into my brain.
M. Susan Potter Fortunately, that hasn't been much of an issue with the Wings of Destiny Series. However, I generally try to turn my mind off or in a different direction for at least a few hours. If I'm still stumped, I read over the last few chapters or even from the beginning. Most of those times I find that what I was writing doesn't flow with the rest of the story, and I need to change it.
M. Susan Potter I would go to the Harry Potter world in the magical areas and cast spells. I would visit Hogwarts and hang out in the library. I would definitely animate a statue ala Professor McGonagall before leaving.
M. Susan Potter I'll be looking to see if Ivy Asher has anything new coming out. Other than that, I tend to be impulsive, surfing available books when the urge strikes me and downloading what catches my attention.
M. Susan Potter Ideas just pop into my head usually when I'm doing other things like working in the garden.
