Usually I just stare at a blank document until I get a headache and go do something else. I don't get writer's block often, but when I do, it lasts for months sometimes.

I like hearing that my writing helps people. I like knowing that it makes a difference and shows people how much they matter to others.

Just write. Write whatever scene comes to your mind and patch it into the story later. Writing is therapeutic and I think everyone should do it, even if it's not fiction or they don't plan to publish.

Um, I have like 8 WIPS, actually. The three taking up my attention the most are the sequel for The Ghost of You, the sequel to my unannounced upcoming novel, and a Dystopian that's unrelated to both.

For The Ghost of You it came from a very vivid nightmare that's basically the plot of the book. I went to school, survived a shooting, and then "my" parents moved me back to my own hometown and my friends got me through it. It started as a nightmare but I'll also credit 5 Seconds of Summer's song 'Ghost of You' for being the perfect writing mood song to give me a title idea.

I really like Sarah Dessen's linked world honestly. All her books I've read are a little connected and I'd totally love to just be friends and hang out with any of her characters. Their development impresses me greatly and I think they'd all be fun to spend a day with.

I haven't read a Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by Susanne Collins yet and Turtles All The Way Down by John Green is the top of my TBR

Honestly, I did draw inspiration from my own life to write this. I'm not a shooting survivor, but I've dealt with many elements in this book personally and used part of it as a sort of therapy to solve those mysteries already.
