Or taking a break. Sometimes I have to take a step back and give my brain a chance to roam without the pressure of writing. During those times, I'll often also go back and read what I've written so far to find a spark.
April Skye Other people falling in love with my story and characters. In my mind, my characters seem so real and knowing that others love it like I do has been phenomenal!
April Skye My advice for aspiring writers would be to take the pressure off of yourself for your first draft; just get something written. You can always go back and edit to add/change things later.

I am also plotting out the third book in the Graves Crime Syndicate to be released later this year.
April Skye I fell back in love with reading in the last year after visiting our local library and reading some of my first romance novels. From there, I started reading again like I used to as a kid, finishing a book every day or two. At first I didn't think it would go anywhere and was just writing for me, but then as I was finishing it and started to tell people about my book, they were falling in love and wanted to read it too, so I decided to publish it. Publishing Widow has been one of my best "one-hundred-miles-per-hour" moments, and I'm so grateful I took the leap!
April Skye My husband and I are currently in fertility treatments and I had this thought after reading another reverse harem book of, "what would I do if I found out I was pregnant and then he died?"
From there, the story just unfolded until the point that I had multiple scenes in my head and all the characters named.
