I'd travel to Ameslan. Literally no one is allowed to talk, I can improve my sign language, and I'm guaranteed success as long as I follow the rules. Simple. Unless I happen to run into the main characters. Oh wait.. and there's also that other thing that's supposed to happen in book four... I might have to rethink my decision.

I personally love seeing my characters come to life. Their personalities and ambitions guide the book, irrespective of the outline (even though I worked so hard to make the outline inclusive). Having readers love and hate identities I've made is so beautiful. Nothing is better.

This one is interesting, but I don't. Not like before. It's become more habitual now, which is better in the long run instead of waiting for inspiration. Sometimes I read my Wattpad stories, knowing I will never devolve my writing to my old standard. Sometimes I read the last chapter I wrote, letting myself get angry when I catch up to the part where I'm stuck. It encourages me to write the next part. I'm my biggest inspiration, I guess. Maybe it's a little vain, but I'm stuck with me for the rest of my life so I might as well be inspired by me.

My cousin is deaf. He has a cochlear but prefers to use ASL to communicate. People dismiss him because he's the “other” of society, even though they have the capability to learn the same language. But what if he wasn't the other? What if everyone used ASL but speaking is the one that's shunned? What if the stakes were higher? Would you be able to see how bad our world is or would you just see words on the page?
