I have two works-in-progress; 'A Brutal Eclipse' is the sequel to 'A Cruel Light." Having returned home to Montreal, Annora is determined to solve a century-old mystery while a serial killer targets young women the city.
'Too Late for Apologies' is the first 'Loose End Mystery', a new series I am developing. Vi Hill has decided to chuck her bucket list. Instead of living-it-large, she's decided to tie up some loose ends before she dies-- which she's been told will happen in less than two years. There are seven names on her 'Loose Ends List.' Seven people she has hurt, let down, lied to, tricked or betrayed. She hits the road-- towing a small trailer-- and will travel across Canada in her quest for redemption. I'd describe this Canadian noir series as 30% 'DOA', 20% 'Thelma and Louise', 20% The Big Chill, and 30% Crooked House.

While so many other grown-ups shelve their imaginations, barely day dream and no longer play pretend, we writers give into our flight of fancy. We can become anyone, do anything, be anywhere, go back in time, and predict the future. The very best thing about being a writer is that we then get to share our stories with others so that they too can solve a murder on the Orient Express, have tea with a faun or become a beautiful black horse who experiences both hardships and kindness.
