Alexander Blevens Having someone you admire say "now that's a good story."
Alexander Blevens I never had it. I guess if I do, I will put what I'm working on down and go for a walk (or expedition) until my story reappears in my mind.

Alexander Blevens A "what if" question popped in my head when thinking about the Vietnamese immigrants in Biloxi, Mississippi, and a possible conflict harbored by an American veteran of the Vietnam War. I wrote a draft of the first chapter and then had my characters solve the problem.
Alexander Blevens A novel set in Northwest Arkansas during the collapse of the apple industry in 1927 - think "Grapes of Wrath."
