I wanted to write a book about a family who lives on a train. But what do they do with it?
I started thinking about the villains in treasure hunt movies and books. We don't get to see their real motivations very often, usually we're just left to assume they want the gold because they're greedy. I wanted to explore the human side of why someone is after lost riches.
