Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Joni Halabi I was inspired to write this story after being frustrated by the lack of selection of "welcome baby" books that depicted families like mine. Though many addressed varying family structures, few spoke about single mothers by choice. I wanted my daughter to see her own type of family represented in a story, so I decided to write one.
