I am in the beginning stages of researching for a book I want to write about human suffering, lament, and hope. This book will be based partly on my own story, including the death of my first child, and twenty-plus years of serving as a pastor among others who have experienced profound suffering.

I have written numerous articles and book reviews in the past and contributed a chapter to a previous book called "Surrendering to Hope: Guidance for the Broken" (2018), which tells the story of finding hope again after the unexpected death of my first child. Along the way, various people have encouraged me to write. So finally I was able to write my first book.

This book was an outgrowth of the research I did for completing my Doctor of Ministry in Contextual Theology with Northern Seminary in Lisle, IL.
