I've been extremely lucky and the stories for this series have been pretty easy to come by. When I do have problems though, like what should Kailyn do next, or why would she be doing this, I'll go for a walk or a run. Getting out of the writing zone and doing something different helps my brain come up with the missing pieces.

I'm currently doing some edits on book 2 so that I can hopefully get it to the editor in early 2023 and then I'll get back to book 3. I have the basic story to book 3, but it's in a very early stage and I need to tighten up some of the story.

The idea came during a walk with my amazing girlfriend who is an actual embalmer. I asked her how her previous day had been, and she told me about one of the religious rituals that go on in their building. Without spoiling any of the book, it became a big part of the story and was the catalyst for what will become the whole series.
