I watch films, TV series and read books, a lot of YA fantasy which is also what I love to write. Especially anything inspired by fairytales or mythology.

I am currently waiting to get my edits back for my YA fantasy Snow White retelling, The Girl Behind The Glass. I also just got my cover back for this one!

Keep writing! Read books you love and take inspiration from them. And write the kind of book you would want to read. It sounds like a cliche but it's great advice!

I love the feeling of getting into a new book, and also the feeling of getting so far into writing a book that I can't get it out of my head.

I am always thinking about my stories, even while at work or out and about, so I'll often muddle through my plot points and solve plot holes in my head while I'm doing other things. But if I get really stuck, I'll usually sit down with a blank page in a notebook and try to come up with some ideas for potential scenes, character backgrounds or anything that could be useful for continuing with my story. The same with starting a brand new story.

This book has been a constantly changing process for ten years now, since I first started writing the original version of it back when I was eighteen during my A Levels. At the time, it was set in a futuristic UK, with a gynoid MC who wanted to jet off on her own to find the scientist who built her. It wasn't until 2020 during Covid lockdown time that I decided to add a fantasy twist! And after that, it became even more magical with an adventure across the seas added in!
