Jaiden Phillips How do you not get inspired to write? (This is meant to be sarcasm...lol...) I have a lot of ideas so finding a way to stop the flow for a time would actually be helpful. XD
Jaiden Phillips Well, I grew up watching Robin Hood (various versions), Aladdin, Zorro (various versions), and The Scarlet Pimpernel and the thief characters always fascinated me! I couldn't really find any good books about thieves...so I decided to write my own! :)
Jaiden Phillips Yes! The sequel to The Guild of Thieves releases on March 3rd, 2026 and is titled The Code of Pirates!
Jaiden Phillips Hey, Lily, nice to meet you! Aw, thanks so much, I can't wait to get to know you too.
That's great that you want to be a writer! :)
I understand, I've been there before, and I think one of the best piece of advice I've ever been given is to just write what YOU want to read. Don't worry about what other people want or expect from your books, just write what you think God wants you to write. Every writer ever doubts themselves or thier ability at one point, I do it all the time, but you just got to remember that no one writes like you, and you can't sacrifice your story because of the fear of what others may think.
There will always be things that make you doubt yourself, but you can't let that get you down, let it strengthen you and your writing.
Just remember that "The worst thing you write is better than the best thing you didn't write." Anonymous.
I hope this was coherent and helpful even a little bit.
You too,
God bless,
Jaiden
Jaiden Phillips Hey, Mollie. My dad was actually a big part in inspiring me to be an author. So when I was younger (I think I was 9 or 10), I used to play games with my older sisters, we'd come up with these crazy stories and plots for our toys when we played together. Well, one day our dad walked past our room when we were plotting one of these games and said "Hey, you guys should write a book about that. It's a really cool idea." So we decided to write our stories down together. (It was terrible...lol...) but, we found we really enjoyed it, so we continued to write other books together. Then we started writing on our own (we still write together tho, we actually published a book together last year and are working to publish the second book in the series later this month). And I haven't stopped since. I love bringing the things in my mind alive on paper and sharing my thoughts and faith with others through my works!😊
