My daughter (Daisy – B) was visiting her 2 best friends in Paris, and we (the parents) decided to secretly make and bury a pirate treasure map in the garden, for the children to find. When they found the map they excitedly came rushing inside to us, and we played along, making up a tale to accompany it. My daughter and I continued to tell the tale when we went home and after a while decided to try to make it into our first novel for fun!
Writing doesn’t come easy to me, because I am dyslexic, but there is something magical about sharing stories with your child by reading books together and making up tales! Hope you enjoy our first tale!
