I journal a lot. I prefer handwritten journaling to typing, but to each their own.
Once I sense that there are common themes that keep making themselves known among my journal entries, I make sure to pay more attention to those themes and make notes on them, offering my insight where I can.
If I have no insight to offer I will investigate the elements of those themes so I can increase my understanding as to the "why" behind them.

My first book is based on my observations over the years of my career in the fire service. I saw a complete breakdown in trust and morale, and at the root of it all was a lack of accountability.
Without accountability, there can be no standards. Without any standards, there can be no trust.
