I love Michael Crichton's ability to connect the reader with enough plausibility for them to say aha. Then take them on a ride on what happens if that occurred. Watching Star Wars and reading other Sci-Fi had me asking how powers of this nature might emerge and what they would mean in today's world. The Cranio-Genesis Project was born from that.
