Robee Berry I get up and get a move on! I live in FL, so the weather is nice most of the year, and I take full advantage.
I like to ditch the phone and go for a walk or just sit outside on the lanai, close my eyes and listen. No agenda, no time constraints, and no stress.
When I feel clear headed and energized, I go back to the computer and write. Sometimes I call it a day and try again the next morning.
Robee Berry Vulnerability is the birthplace of creativity and it’s never too late to share your truth!
Start small and work your way into a daily writing habit that feels right for you. The saddest story is the one never told.
Robee Berry I'm currently working on a rough draft for a follow up to The Pink Divide. It's a girls' trip story with Lake and her yoga friend group traipsing to Key West to retrace Grandma Kiki and Grandpa Kevin's steps when they wintered there. During the trip down memory lane, each of the ladies decides to do something daring and adventurous - something they'd never do back in their daily real lives. Things go off the rails and crazy secrets are revealed. More to come....
Robee Berry I like to write early in the day when my mind is fresh and most productive. Typically my day starts with an early morning workout and cool down. Weather permitting, outside activity is most inspiring to me, before the sun comes up or just as it's rising.

When I wrote The Pink Divide, I imagined the various stages of Lake Myers, how she approached each of her emotional states, and how she drew strength from her beloved Grandma Kiki, the one person in her life, that held her up, no matter what. Naturally, over the years, circumstances change and that calls for different strategies. The various phases of Lake’s story are meant to offer promise. We’re not alone and we should never be made to feel apologetic or less than for standing in our truth.
Robee Berry The idea for The Pink Divide has been living inside my being for as long as I can remember, but with life as a mom, wife and career woman, the timing never seemed right, until it was. Much of what I write about in this book is loosely based on my experiences growing up queer in a small town in NE Ohio and beyond.
