The freedom of expression, hands down. I can escape in my stories with my characters. It might seem strange, but I see the characters I create (even the bad ones) as parts of me, and it's liberating to write about them.

I would say to anyone who loves to write and wants to get their ideas and stories out there—do not stop. There will be times when you feel overwhelmed by ideas or even underwhelmed because you think the ideas aren't flowing enough. There will also be moments of utter frustration because you just have so much going on between writing, getting a book cover, writing a blurb for the book, editing, marketing, etc. It's a lot, but stick to it. Also, never, EVER write to please other people. In other words don't write what you think people want to hear. Write what you love. They're your stories and your characters, so write true. You have a niche of readers out there waiting to discover you.

I am currently working on the second book in the Chosen series. It's more than half done, but then comes the delicate stage of fine-combing through it at least five times to edit. It's a lot of work and time, but I really enjoy it. I love sharing my work with others.

I look within. There's something inside that urges me to get my ideas out, so I listen to it.

I've had the Chosen series in my head and gathered in my notes for about 15 years. I started playing some of the characters individually in online roleplaying chat rooms, then decided to branch off and flesh out whole stories.
